“Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments and places that takes your breaths away.“
That was my favorite quote of all. My family love travelling. When I was little, we always go on a trip somewhere during summer break. Very early on, I fell in love with exploring different countries, seeing unfamiliar cultures, tasting exotic food and appreciate a different scenery in another corner of the Earth.
This is my travel blog. I’m not a professional writer, in fact I’m not a great writer with fancy vocabularies. However I want to share what I see, what I feel and what I think on my journeys. There are so much out there that inspire me. I hope this blog can become one of those inspirations for you. When I’m not traveling, I’m a dress maker.
Love. Experience. Inspire.

Hi Kath. Thanks for dropping by my site. Hope to see more of you π
Love this! Thanks for dropping by my site too!
Nice travel blog you have here. I like your layout and your pics are really nice what kind of camera are you using, if its a dlsr what lens? I also have a travel blog called Royce’s World, Didn’t know what to call it and I went around the world so I figured my name plus world would work hehehe. Anyway judging from your map above it seems that you have been to just as many places as me or even more. Are you going to post blogs about Japan, as they are pinned on the map, but not listed in the Asia section. Well check out my blog when you have a chance and let me know what you think. I love to meet fellow travelers, share stories, travel tips and travel deals. Hope to hear from you soon =)
First of all, thank you for the kind words. I’m a little nut when it comes to organizing information. It took me a little while to get a clean layout that I can navigate all my post easily. (I must say, the google map in “places I’ve blogged” seems to work best for me to organize travel journals.)
Till now, I can only do point and shoot with a Canon S95. before this, it was a Nikon Coolpix S220β¦ (haha I wish i know how to use one of those big camera. shame, i know)
It seems Japan holds a special place in your heart, as that was your first trip out of Hawaii π When I was in high school, I was really into Japanese rock music. So my first trip to Tokyo was on a mission to a number of second hand CD stores to buy records that was hard to find in Hong Kong (where I live). Within a tight schedule, I also had the chance to see Kyoto and Osaka. Loved loved loved Kyoto. I’ll definitely write about that trip , even though it was like 10 years ago.
Currently, I still have lots of places I’d love to blog aboutβ¦ working on it, working on it π
Cheers,
Kath
Hahah Well again good job, I guess all those hours of tweaking the layout payed off. I’m still looking to find the perfect layout, but for now I’m satisfied with what I got.
Your pics have a dynamic view to them with a wide angle, thats why I thought maybe you use a wide angle lens. It didn’t have the Depth of Field though so wasn’t too sure. The s95 is a great camera I was looking into getting that one, but decided to stick with my point and shoot and just work the picture in post production.
Hahaha yes I love Japan as my number one country. I’ve been 6 times and I wish I could visit there more often. I agree Kyoto is so much more nicer than the big cities of Osaka or Tokyo. Well I’ll subscribe and look forward to reading more about your travels. Take care and safe travels π

Absolument! Thanks a lot for your invite, I’m glad that you enjoyed my travel journal. And you have a lovely site going on there π i Just have a few questions:
1. Do I need to upload the post and photos by myself, or your team will grab it from my site?
2. Can I put the link back to your site on my about page, or it needs to be on the main page on the side panel?
3. Is Villandry the only post you’d like to have on your site, or if there’s others as well?
Again, thanks for your interest!
Fantastic job,l enjoyed it a lot .wishoing you health and success.
Best regards. JALAL MICHAEL SABBAGH
You have a great blog and I enjoyed the pictures. Thank you for sharing. π
Thank you Simon π
Hello Kath. I’m Alex.
I would like to publish a sponsored post (with one link) on your great blog – trippykath.wordpress.com. Could you please give me the price for the placement of it?
Please contact me for more details. Thx
Hello Kath,
I am a Master student from Germany and am doing some research about customer co-creation for my thesis. I am especially interested in how co-creation affects customer satisfaction. You can imagine how difficult it is to find the right participants and you seem the perfect fit as a quality hunter. Would you be so kind as to fill in this survey about being active on the Quality Hunter Finnair site? It only takes 4 minutes and you would do me a great favour!
https://qtrial.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_2hNBmjPUMS7NzuJ
Donβt hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for your time. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Anna
PS: In the survey when they talk about a βnew design/ innovationβ they refer to your idea for FINNAIR and whether it has been considered and adopted or not..
Hi Anna, I have just completed the survey and email you with a few extra feedback.
Thanks for contacting me!
