From Vienna to Prague

January 20, 2012 § 2 Comments

Last glimpse of the Vienna as my train departed. See you in a few years. Vienna, Dec 15, 2011.

I’ve spent 4 days in Vienna, visiting all those museum, palaces and markets. On day 5, we took an 8:25am train and head north to our next destination: Prague. The train that leaves for Prague departs at a station called Melding. It was served by the metro line, and pretty convenient for where I stayed. I must praise that all the public transportation was so easy to use. (Gosh, wait till you read my experience with transportation system in Berlin).

Even everyone was telling me that Prague was so beautiful, I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting much. After this 2 and a half hour train ride, I’ll stay in this Czech city for 4 days, including a day drip to Kutna Hora.

What do I know about Czech Republic? I remember when I was little, I was so proud of myself that I could spell Czechoslovakia when other kids didn’t even have a clue where the hell was this country. I also knew they were known for producing Bohemian crystal. Anyway, while I was imagining the colorful old streets of Prague, I snapped a few pictures on this moving train. Here I come, Prague.

Not far from the Vienna-Melding station I guess. Dec 15, 2011.

Modern windmill. Dec 15, 2011.

A lake side town from far. Dec 15, 2011.

My favorite shot from this ride. It reminds me of some old Dutch landscape painting. Dec 15, 2011.
